Have you fallen behind on your nerd news? Don’t worry, we’re here to help! Here are a few stories to bring up at the water cooler this week:
Bioshock Infinite will be getting three DLCs in late July. It will be the first new expansion content for the game, which came out in March. There are three planned story-driven DLCs for the game, though details have not been released as to what they will be about. The option to pre-purchase all of them was available in the season pass and will cost $5 on Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and PC.
It has been reported Google is developing a video game console and wristwatch powered by Android. Rumor has it competition felt by Apple’s foray into the gaming world with its next generation of AppleTV influenced their decision. The watch will likely connect with Bluetooth and interact with an Android phone. The company is also releasing a new version of its operating system this fall.
Microsoft and Time Warner have struck a deal to bring TV to Xbox 360. It will be offered to Time Warner Cable customers who have an Xbox Live Gold membership and will bring over 300 channels to those subscribers. The app launches later this summer and will be controlled using your voice through Kinect.
Barnes and Noble will soon stop manufacturing certain kinds of its Nook tablets. They will still make the Nook Simple Touch, a black-and-white reader, as opposed to tablets. Its rivalry with more profitable tablets from Google, Apple, and Amazon.com and the company’s overall fiscal sales led to its downfall.
Is anyone surprised about this one? SPOILERS As previously reported, DC killed Catwoman in a Justice League comic last month. But lo and behold, she’s not actually dead! Turns out, it wasn’t actually Selina Kyle who got shot, but Martian Manhunter. So Catwoman lives to see another day after all!
