If given the chance to be stuck in space with Ryan Reynolds and Jake Gyllenhaal, most people would jump on it. However, throw an alien monster into the mix and their answer might change.

In the upcoming film Life, that’s exactly what happens. Reynolds and Gyllenhaal are members of a six-member team aboard the International Space Station sent to collect samples from Mars. However, things are not always what they seem and soon the life form they collected begins to wreak havoc on the ship, threatening the lives of the astronauts on board as they race to stop it from destroying the space station and eventually reaching Earth as well.

The trailer starts out light and fun, showing the team going about their daily lives set to 70s classic rock. But things take a turn for the worst and the intensity is ramped up as soon as the martian sample is brought on board, which rapidly injures a crewmember and sets out to demolish the ship, during which the action is voiced-over by the scariest and most tense version of “Goodnight Moon” you’ll ever hear. Will the crew be able to stop the monster in time?

Take a look at the extended trailer below and let us know if you’ll be seeing Life when it hits theaters March 24.
