Universal Orlando executives along with Harry Potter movie stars James and Oliver Phelps, Evanna Lynch, and Matthew Lewis announced the official opening date of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Diagon Alley expansion yesterday. Get ready, witches and wizards, because soon, the brick-tapping code won’t be needed to gain access to Gringotts Wizarding Bank, Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes, and Madame Malkin’s Robes for All Occasions and more since the park will open July 8.

As previously reported, park visitors will also be able to experience Knockturn Alley, Florean Fortescue’s Ice Cream Parlor, and ride the Hogwarts Express in addition to other exciting features.

According to Variety, “Guests who buy exclusive Harry Potter vacation packages from Universal will be able to visit Diagon Alley starting June 29. The packages, which start at $109 per night, include four-night accommodations, three-day park-to-park tickets, breakfast at the Leaky Cauldron and Three Broomsticks restaurants and early park admission to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.” As Diagon Alley and the existing Hogsmeade are in two different parts of the park (access to both available by Hogwarts Express), guests who come starting opening day will have to purchase a two-park ticket. One-day passes for adults cost $136 and children cost $130.

Universal will also open a Wizarding World in Osaka, Japan this summer, as well as one at Universal Studios Hollywood in 2016.
