As any child of the 90s knows, Cow and Chicken was one of the best cartoons of its time. It was irreverent and funny and had a style all its own, thanks to creator David Feiss. Now Feiss has a new project in Open Season: Scared Silly, the fourth installment in the Open Season franchise.

It’s been ten years since the first Open Season film and Sony Pictures Animation has marked the occasion with an all-new animated movie. It features returning characters in an adventure that begins with a case of mistaken identity. Humans and animals alike think there is a werewolf on the loose in Timberline National Forest and former hunter Shaw seizes on the opportunity to re-open open season. With Shaw on the loose and all the animals at risk, it’s now up to Boog, Elliot, and Mr. Weenie to face their fears, track down the elusive werewolf, and get open season closed permanently.

Open Season: Scared Silly is a movie for the whole family and certainly lives up to its name. It’s goofy, it’s comical, and it’s certainly not high-brow. But that’s what makes it fun.

And while the storyline might not be sophisticated, the art certainly is. Check out a few making-of images below!

Open Season: Scared Silly is available now.
