After raking in almost $700,000,000 at the box office worldwide and becoming the number one movie of the year (so far), it’s no surprise Disney and Marvel want to cash in on Guardians of the Galaxy’s success.

At a New York Comic Con panel last week, it was announced Disney XD will launch a new animated TV series based on the hit movie as part of their Marvel Universe programming block. Though the original movie actors will not be reprising their roles, the show will still follow the gang of misfits though all of their galactic adventures. It is set to debut in 2015.

Check out this test footage that was shown during the panel and a poster promoting the series:

Also out of NYCC was the reveal of a solo Gamora comic book series, making it the fourth GOTG spin-off title published. Nicole Perlman, who co-wrote the script for the film, will write the new comic. There’s no artist attached yet, but the title will launch this spring.

And finally, after months of fans pleading for more of their favorite scene-stealing character, an officially licensed dancing baby Groot will be hitting shelves. The figure will run about $14.99 and play an electronic version of the Jackson 5’s “I Want You Back” from a built-in speaker. He’s due in stores this December.
