Free Comic Book Day is This Weekend

Free Comic Book Day is upon us again. Now it its 13th year, the celebration is held the first Saturday in May and endeavors to introduce everyone to the joys of reading comics – for free!

Stores around the world participate in the festivities, many also offering costume contests, autograph signings, and giveaways.

More than 50 titles will be offered at Free Comic Book Day including Marvel’s Secret Wars, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Teen Titans Go!, and Doctor Who. Plus this year’s Free Comic Book Day holds the honor of corresponding with what will possibly be the biggest comic book-based movie of the year (and ever?), Avengers: Age of Ultron. What better way to spend a nerdy day than to go pick up a few free comics and then to go to see the heroes on the page portrayed on the big screen?
