Bruce Banner may become The Hulk when he gets angry, but what does Blake Shelton turn in to? A pig! A pig named Earl in the upcoming Angry Birds movie, to be exact.

And while Shelton may be Southern, hailing from Oklahoma, his natural accent wasn’t quite twangy enough for filmmakers. “They kept saying, ‘More country!’ ” Shelton said in an interview with Entertainment Weekly. “I felt like I was doing a voice-over for Dukes of Hazzard.”

Shelton is clearly very excited to play Earl, with whom Shelton even shares some tattoos. He tweeted his happiness about his role using an appropriate reaction:

But he isn’t just using his speaking voice in the film. The singer and judge on The Voice will also have a song showcased on the soundtrack.

The Angry Birds Movie, which also features the voice talents of Jason Sudeikis, Maya Rudolph, and Josh Gad, hits theaters May 20.
