From Walt Disney Animation Studios, the team behind Wreck-It Ralph, Tangled, and Frozen, comes Big Hero 6, a 3D animated action-adventure comedy based on the Marvel Comics superhero team of the same name. The film follows young robotics prodigy Hiro Hamada and his robot sidekick Baymax as they are thrust into danger when they uncover a criminal plot in the city of San Fransokyo. They then put together a team of inexperienced crime-fighters including neatnik Wasabi, adrenaline junkie Go Go Tomago, chemistry whiz Honey Lemon, and fanboy Fred, and turn them into a band of high-tech heroes to solve the mystery surrounding the case.

In an effort to ramp up promotion for the film, it was just announced Funko will create versions of the team in their ever-popular Pop! vinyl figurine line. They will stand about 3.75 inches tall, though the collection will also feature a super-sized Baymax, who will be six inches tall. They are set for release in October, with special edition Pearlescent Nurse Baymax available in November.

In other news, it has been revealed Hiro and Baymax will be the newest members of the Disney Infinity 2.0 family. Players will be able to use Hiro’s mind powers and Baymax’s super strength to assist within the game. Other items, locations, props, and vehicles from across the Disney and Marvel universes will also be available to use. Additionally, there will be a Big Hero 6 Chem Capsule Power Disc that will allow players to create a frost cloud with which to freeze enemies. As with all Disney Infinity characters, Hiro and Baymax will come in the form of their own figures that will unlock their playable selves within the game that will be available in 2015. According to, “Disney Infinity 2.0 is a software upgrade for the existing Disney Infinity, along with an entirely new retail line, due for release this fall. Other characters coming to 2.0 include Tinker Bell and Stitch, Maleficent, and The Avengers.” Check out the announcement trailer:

Big Hero 6 opens in theaters November 7.
