They just don’t make ’em like they used to, folks.

But hey, “Chuck” fans! We’ve got a nice surprise this week because, though we’re missing the Birthday Boy (Zac) and the Canadian Wild Card (Tyler), Captain Awesome himself is picking his favorites with Kentucky and Razzle (WHO ARE TOTALLY THE BEST OF FRIENDS, I MEAN LOOK HOW FRIENDSY THEY ARE).

You can find this week’s episode on iTunes and Soundcloud.

And don’t forget to tune into THE SEASON FINALE of “Geeks Who Drink”, TOMORROW (Thursday) at 11PM on SyFy (and send a tweet to SyFy telling them how much you like the show)!

This Week’s Guest:

C’mon, guys, it’s CAPTAIN AWESOME!  Obviously, Ryan is an actor that you probably know best from “Chuck”, but he’s also appeared in a ton of other TV shows (like “Hart of Dixie”) and movies (like J.Edgar).  You can currently catch Ryan in the The Right Kind of Wrong, but keep an eye out for A Kind of Magic and platetherapy.com, Ryan’s wife’s paleo diet delivery service, both coming soon!

Storytime: I went to the WB Studio Tour in Burbank this past summer and I was all psyched to see one of the Nerd Herders from “Chuck” (and possibly try and steal it… I MEAN-), but guys, you know what happened?  THEY TOOK THE NERD HERDER OUT OF THE TOUR.  I was so upset. So whoever now gets to drive it to GROCERY STORES?  You’re getting a serious glare from me.

Favorite Car From A Movie

I am literally so upset that the “Mutts Cutts” van from Dumb and Dumber isn’t included in this list.  IT’S A VAN DRESSED AS A DOG.  COME ON.  And no Ecto-1, either?!  Guys, I might have to take points off of your Nerd Score, seriously.

Favorite Movie Car Chase

See, but the PROBLEM with car chases is that they never happen in real life like they do in the movies, so you spend your life driving 35 mph or in traffic, wishing that you could have a car chase with no consequences.  And that will NEVER, EVER happen.  *sigh* Friggin’ movies giving everyone unrealistic expectations.

Random Notes from Shannon’s Brain

  • The winner of this week’s “Hey, You’re Awesome” Award is… RAZZLE!  I know, I know, CAPTAIN AWESOME not getting the “Awesome” Award is kind of blasphemy, but Razzle had me dying with his sort-of description of “Chuck”, plus the fact that he likes “Rick and Morty” (I agree, it’s pretty effing funny), plus his laugh is adorable.  Also, he has JUST as much patience for football as I do.
  • EXCUSE ME, KENTUCKY, I HAD A CHEVY CHEVETTE IN HIGH SCHOOL AND IT WAS THE COOLEST, OKAY?!
  • I feel like Kentucky was REALLY EXCITED ABOUT EVERYTHING IN THIS EPISODE.  Right?
  • So basically, to get Razzle’s attention, we just have to mention a cute blonde girl?  Got it.
  • The amount of love that everyone on “Chuck” has for that show is adorable.
  • I REPEAT, RAZZLE AND KENTUCKY ARE THE BEST OF FRIENDS, OKAY? They just occasionally shoot each other in the eye with Nerf guns and make fun of each other about how long it takes the other to tell a story.  BUT THAT IS ALL ABOUT LOVE.
  • The picture in my head of Ryan coaching little baby football is the most precious thing.  *clutches heart*

Um….the “Dukes of Hazzard car” is called The General Lee. It must be a boy thing. And famous/favorite car chases and no mention of “Bullitt”? Or “The French Connection”? It must be an old thing (but ‘Merica should have definitely been down with them!!)
